Estate agent to hold property investors event

Estate agent John D Wood is to hold a property investors evening, for those primarily interested in buying in London and the South East.

The event at Sandown Racecourse on October 10 will start will at 6.30pm with welcome drinks, followed by talks on identifying the most suitable properties for buy-to-let, how to go about financing a purchase, and the technical aspects of letting and managing the properties.

There will be a question and answer session and then a chance to speak with staff from John D Wood’s sales and lettings offices as well as independent mortgage advisers.

Nik Madan, director of lettings at John D Wood & Co, said: “With interest rates low and the stock market and other investments performing poorly, we are seeing a rise in inquiries from applicants looking to put their money into the stable returns offered by buy-to-let.”

The event is aimed at both seasoned investors as well as first-time landlords.
