EPC regulation is part of a broader European strategy for cutting carbon emissions. Legislation is proposed that would see lower scoring property removed from the rental market by 2018. At the moment it does not matter what the energy performance of your property is, so long as you have a certificate for it. If you have recently made energy saving improvements to your property then getting a new certificate could be a good investment. Home hunters are increasingly aware of rising fuel bills and a good energy performance rating can increase your properties rental or sale value.
